Dharti Tarse Ambar Barse lyrics

Baagh Ko Janam Dene Vaalaa Baghban Parivaar Ko Janam Dene Vaalaa Pitaa

Donon Hi Apne Khoon Paseene Se Apne Podhon Ko Sinchte Hain

Na Sirf Apne Ped Se Uske Saaye Se Bhi Pyaar Karte Hain

Kyun Ki Use Ummeed Hai Ek Roz Jab Vo Zindagi Se Thak Jaayegaa

Yahi Saayaa Uske Kaam Aayegaa

The above lyrics are of the film "Baghban" and of song 'Dharti Tarse Ambar Barse', so in this lines there is comparison between two things, the gardener and the father, gardener gives birth to a garden means plants new saplings which grow into beautiful plants and father gives rise to a family, both with their hardwork and with sweat and blood, it means they do very hardwork which causes one to sweat and drop blood, to raise a family, children and gardener works hard for his plants to grew green and beautiful, they not only love their children but love their shadow, means their memories also, just as a gardener loves not only  his plants but also its shadow, because both father and gardener have hopes that one day when they'll get tired with life, to father his children and to gardener his plants will be helpful to them, in harsh Sun the gardener will be protected by the shadow of his trees and father will be supported by his children and the memories of happy days of their togetherness.

O Dharti Tarse Ambar Barse Rut Aaye Rut Jaaye Haay

Har Mausam Ki Khushboo Chunke Baghban Baagh Sajaaye

Baaghon Ke Har Phool Ko Apnaa Samjhe Baghban

Baaghon Ke Har Phool Ko Apnaa Samjhe Baghban

Har Ghadi Kare Rakhvaali, Patti Patti, Daali Daali

Sinche Baghban

Baaghon Ke Har Phool Ko Apnaa Samjhe Baghban

Baaghon Ke Har Phool Ko Apnaa Samjhe Baghban

Har Ghadi Kare Rakhvaali, Patti Patti, Daali Daali

Sinche Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Just as a gardener takes care of his gardener in each and every season, dharti tarse means summer and ambar barse means monsoon season, whether hot or cold, easy or difficult, gardener takes care of his plants always and a father takes care of his family all the days of his life. Gardener plants and takes care of the plants according to the season and a father takes care of his family as per the needs of the family, the gardener considers each and every flower as his own and takes care of it, so in a same way the father, head of the family also takes care of each and every member. The gardener takes care of his plants each and every moment, means all time, and father also takes care and loves his family, fulfills all the needs of family and children including materialistic things, love, care, motivation, inspiration, he himself becomes a role model for the family to follow, and helps the family to live and grow happily, successfully and peacefully. So we can say that a gardener is loving and caring like God and father is also the image of God, as God is busy so he gave us father to take care of the family. So here it is told that gardener is God and father is also God for his family.

O Madhuban Ki Bahaar Le Aaye

Mausam Reete Reete Haay Mausam Reete Reete

Janam Janam Ki Trishnaa Bujh Gayee..

Birhaa Ke Kshan Beete Haay Birhaa Ke Kshan Beete

Phir Se Sajaaye Bhikhre Apne Sapne Baghban

Phir Se Sajaaye Bhikhre Apne Sapne Baghban

Aa Aa Aa

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Rab Hai Baghban

In above lines it is told that as time passed, years rolled and there was separation in the family and as if the dreams are broken and it also breaks the heart and leads to sadness, again the gardener is decorating his garden to make it more green and beautiful as it was, and father also wants his family to be united as it was years ago. Gardener and father is here personified as God.

O Ungali Thaamke Jin Birhan Ko Hamne Dikhaayee Raah

Maat Pitaa Ki Unke Man Mein Tanik Nahin Parvaah

O Ansuan Bhar Nainon Se Inko Dekhe Baghban

Ansuan Bhar Nainon Se Inko Dekhe Baghban

Aa Aa Aa

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

The above lines tells us that the parents have taken the fingers of their children and taught them how to walk, showed them the way in life, these children don't even care a bit for their parents, they don't have a little place of their parents in their heart, the lyricist is telling us to fill our eyes with tears and look at them, to look at the pains that the parents have taken to raise their children, the sacrifices they've made, how selfish the children become when they grow up and forget their own parents who have brought them to the place where they're today. How can the children forget the God which is seen in the form of parents or father? How?

O Kisne Dukh Ki Agni Daali Banjar Ho Gaye Khet

O Hari Bhari Jeevan Baghiyaa Se Udne Lagi Hai Ret

Kyaa Boyaa Thaa Aur Kyaa Kaataa Soche Baghban

Kyaa Boyaa Thaa Aur Kyaa Kaataa Soche Baghban

Aa Aa Aa

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Rab Hai Baghban

In the above lines the writer of the song is asking us who has poured the fire of sadness that the land has become barren and sand is blowing as it the land has become desert. Green garden and the happy healthy family, both are destroyed, now the gardener is thinking that what he has sown and what he has cut, he is asking himself whether he has made some mistake in planting, while making his garden, and the father is also thinking what thing has he left undone, what is missing in his bringing up that he is facing such an unexpected results, he has given his whole life for the family, for his children, and still he has not received the fruits of his hardwork, his children have  changed and have forgotten the roots that is their parents. What has he sown and what has he cut, now the father doubts his own acts that to whom he trusted have broken his trust and from whom he never expected anything have given the good fruits, that are more loyal to him, and they have proved to be more trustworthy over the span of years.

O Yahi Sochke Saansein Likh Dee In Phulan Ke Naam

Inki Chhaniyaa Chhaniyaa Beete Umr Ki Dhalti Shaam

Gunche Hardam Hi Muskaayen Chaahe Baghban

Gunche Hardam Hi Muskaayen Chaahe Baghban

Har Ghadi Kare Rakhvaali Patti Patti Daali Daal

Sinche Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Rab Hai Rab Hai Rab Hai Rab Hai Baghban

The above lines tells us that the gardener thought while taking care of his plants years back that under the shade of these plants and trees he will spent his rest of the life, and the father also thinks that he has spent whole of his life taking care of his children and when he'll grow old and tired with life, his children will take care of him and he will live in the bossom of a very loving family that he has raised all the years of his life. Here in this song gardener is a metaphor used for a father and the garden is a metaphor for children. Every moment of their life they both have taken care of their garden and the children respectively with lots of love and given everything behind them with a hope that one day they'll be helpful to them and they'll be able to take some rest in their old age.

Vo Sooraj Hai Laayee Jisne Dhoop Aangan Aangan Mein

Kyun Hai Akelepan Kaa Andheraa Aaj Usi Ke Daaman Mein

Kyaa Chaahaa Thaa Aur Kyaa Paayaa Soche Baghban

Kyaa Chaahaa Thaa Aur Kyaa Paayaa Soche Baghban

Aa Aa Aa

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Rab Hai Baghban

Baghban Baghban

The above lines tells us that the sun that had brought sunlight in the garden, why there's darkness of loneliness in his presence, in his place? What he was expecting and what he received, the gardener is thinking, similarly the father is also thinking and lamenting for what he was expecting from his children and what has he received.

☆ CONCLUSION

The song of Baghban 'Dharti Tarse Ambar Barse' tells us that parents raise their children with so much of love and care, the sacrifices they give and when the children grow up they get so much busy in their own life that they forget the ones who has brought them to such a highly respected positions and feel as if they are burden for them. Do parents raise their children to see such a bitter results and experiences? Then my advice to these children is that all that you've achieved is of no use, all your success, fame, money is useless if you forget your own parents! It won't last long neither will it bring you happiness nor peace. So we must respect and take care of our parents when they grow old and weak. That is more important than praying in the temples, when we take care of our parents, our loved ones then God will be more happy.

"Acceptance of parental wishes brings untold blessings."

"One hand offered in help is better than the two hands joined in prayer."

Marxist Criticism & Feminist Criticism

Hello Friends,  This blog is my response to the task assigned to us by our Prof. Dr.DilipSir on Marxist and Feminist Criticism. So, read, understand and enjoy. Happy Learning! MARXIST CRITICISM What Marxist critics do 1. They make a division between the 'overt' (manifest or surface) and 'covert' (latent or hidden) content of a literary work (much as psychoanalytic critics do) and then relate the covert subject matter of the literary work to basic Marxist themes, such as class struggle, or the progression of society through various historical stages, such as, the transition from feudalism to industrial capitalism. Thus, the conflicts in King Lear might be read as being 'really' about the conflict of class interest between the rising class (the bourgeoisie) and the falling class (the feudal overlords).  2. Another method used by Marxist critics is to relate the context of a work to the social-class status of the author. In such cases an assumption is made (which a...
